Nottingham Christmas Market

If you want to experience the best of the Christmas markets in Nottinghamshire, you will definitely want to visit Nottingham Christmas Market. Known locally as Nottingham Winter Wonderland, it’s one of the most popular winter events in the region, and many are excited for its return in 2023.

Nottingham’s Winter Wonderland is a traditional German-style market with all the wonderful Christmas food, mulled wine, handmade gifts and decorations that you would expect to see in a German Christmas market.

The traditional chalets combine well with the less traditional events and activities that are put on by the city. You can choose from family-friendly rides and attractions or meet friends for a drink at one of the winter bars.

Opening times*

Winter Wonderland will be open from 11am on weekdays (10am weekends) until 5.30pm. Some attractions will be open later. It will be open every day until December 31, except Christmas day.

Gift stalls will be open until 5.30pm but the food and drink outlets will be open during the evening. The last booking slot for the ice rink is 9.45pm Monday to Thursday and Sunday and 10pm Friday and Saturday. On Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve bookings will close at the early time of 6.45pm.

The big wheel is also open until late except on those dates. The bars will stay open until 11pm.

Belfast Christmas Market

Belfast Christmas Market is where it all began for Market Place. Now in it's 12th year, the award-winning market in the grounds of Belfast Hall is the festive highlight for the city and its visitors. A record 1.3 million visitors attended the market last year, to avail of the wonderful products on offer from over 100 chalets. Local producers make up over 40% of the market, selling a variety of tasty treats and products: lobster burgers from celebrated local restaurateurs, Mourne Seafood, men's grooming products from the quirky Belfast Beard Company and even ice-cream from the famous North Belfast family run company Rossi's.

Every year we push the boat out to make the Belfast Christmas Market bigger and better and in 2016 over £200,000 was invested in new chalets and trading structures and a new layout with an even wider range of home grown produce and treats from across the globe.
